Schlage Everest SFIC Cylinder – Technical Details
The Schlage Everest Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) cylinder is a 6- or 7-pin lock core designed for use in Best-compatible SFIC hardware.
 
Machined from solid brass, the Everest core incorporates a patented undercut keyway and a unique check pin system, providing an additional security layer beyond standard SFIC designs.
 
The check pin must be properly set before the shear line can be reached, adding complexity to picking and decoding.
